ARCADEFORGE / UMSA – ULTIMATE SCART ADAPTER
From your computer to an RGB SCART TV.
UMSA connects an RGBHV source already configured for 15 kHz output to a suitable RGB SCART television. It combines the sync signals using logic and routes separately supplied audio to the SCART connector.
RGBHV to RGBS
The 15 kHz RGBHV signal at the VGA connector is adapted for your television’s RGB SCART input.
Select the sync polarity
A jumper lets you configure the adapter for positive or negative sync signals from your source.
Add sound separately
The RCA inputs route audio to the SCART connector alongside the picture. VGA itself does not carry audio.

Plan your setup
What you need
- A source that actually outputs 15 kHz RGBHV. Having a VGA connector alone is not sufficient.
- A television with an RGB-capable SCART input and suitable VGA, RGB SCART and audio cables.
- A suitable regulated 5 V supply. Your graphics hardware and software must support the required video signal.
Connection & setup
- Configure the source for suitable 15 kHz output before connecting it to the television.
- With the equipment powered off, connect VGA, RGB SCART and any separate audio cables.
- Set the sync jumper for your source, connect the 5 V supply and start the configured signal chain.

Fits your setup when …
- The source already outputs 15 kHz RGBHV through HD15
- The TV accepts RGBS through SCART; UMSA does not convert 31 kHz VGA to 15 kHz
Before you buy
Will standard 31 kHz VGA output work?
No. The source must already output 15 kHz RGBHV. UMSA is not a downscaler and does not change the line frequency.
Why is there no sound?
VGA carries video only. Connect your source’s audio output to UMSA’s RCA inputs as well.
Can I use a Raspberry Pi?
Only with suitable additional hardware and software providing 15 kHz RGBHV. An HDMI output cannot connect directly to UMSA.

Works like a charm! The only thing that is missing is the 662 IC for 12V switching, but who really cares about that am I right? Makes the experience even more authentic. Great product!
Got mine, doesn't work as they say, correct resolutions set up but the thing it should do, set the correct sync, doesn't work.
Mine is missing the IC2 "622" circuit so that might be the issue, have tried the contact form, but I don't get any sort of reply.
